Fénix Restaurant. Concept, Launch Mktg & Ops

Fenix Restaurant was one of the final projects I worked on with Mercer Restaurant Group.

The playful and vibrant Cal-Mex small restaurant concept and design were a collaboration between owner and chef, Mark Liberman, and owner/proprietor, Matt Semmelhack. Fenix was intended to be a more economically approachable and casual counterpoint to Mercer’s elevated tasting menu focused concept, AQ Restaurant.

I joined the small team as the opening General Manager, assisting and project managing elements of the re-concept, interior redesign, bar management, operation plan/strategy, opening marketing and promotions.
